The Toasts and Speeches
Following the wedding breakfast the Best Man will announce the first speech. |
The Bride's Father
Proposes a toast to the Bride and Groom and may give a small speech. |
The Groom
Replies on behalf of the Bride and Groom and thanks the parents of the Bride for providing the wedding, thanks the guests for their gifts and toasts the bridemaids. |
The Best Man
Replies for the bridemaids, may read out cards and toasts the Bride and Groom and their parents. |
The Top Table
The bridal party should be seated in the following order.- Best Man Groom's Mother Bride's Father Bride Groom Bride's Mother Groom's Father

The Cutting of the Cake

This is announced by the Best Man and occasionally someone will make a short speech. The Bride and Groom cut the cake, it is then taken away to be prepared and served with coffee. The top tier is traditioanlly saved for the Christening of the first child. |
Special Duties |
The Bride
Selects the type of service. She decides on her dress and the bridesmaids attire. |
The Bridegroom
Selects the Best Main and the Ushers. He bys the ring and pays the church fees. He can also buy gifts for the bridemaids, Best Man and Ushers as a gesture of gratitude for their help. He buys flowers for his Bride, Bride's mother, his own mother, bridesmaids, buttonholes for himself and the Best Man. He arranges and pays for transport for himself and the Best Man and for the Bride and himself after the wedding. |
Chief Bridesmaid
She assists the Bride to dress, holds the bouquet during the ceremony and organises other bridemaids. |
Best Man
The Best Man is the Bridgegroom's right hand man. He keeps the ring and ensures the Bridegroom gets to the church on time. He pays the church fees on behalf of the Bridegroom. He checks and ensures transport for all guests to the reception and that any travel arrangemants for the honeymoon are in order. |
Bride's Father
The father gives the Bride away. He receives guests at the reception. He pays for the wedding dress, bridessmaids dressed, cars (except Bridegrooms) and press announcements if any. |
Bride's Mother
Is traditionally in charge of all proceedings. She decides on the guest list, together with the Bridegroom's mother and the venue for the reception. |

A full wine list is available upon request.The menus are not strict or sset, it is your day therefore you may select your own menu and the cost per head will be agreed prior to any booking. For simplicity we also offer our Carvery with a selectio of roast joints and traditional vegetables.For larger parties we offer the facility of a Marquee Wedding Breakfast.
This facility is becoming more and more popular and ensures total individuality.The cost relating to the hire of the Marquee is dependent on number of guests this will determine the size of marquee required.Included within the package we offer the Bride and Grooms accommodation Free, this includes one nights stay and breakfast. Other guest accommodation will be offered at a discounted rate.
